Hi Everyone!

 
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Marcelle Gravel. I am an Ivanhoe parent and the new eBay Committee chair for Friends of Ivanhoe.
 
This year, FOI has joined other area schools in taking fundraising to a higher level by posting items to auction on eBay. With over 200 million users on eBay, this is an exciting way for us to extend our fundraising efforts to those around the world.
 
Rare, one of a kind "entertainment" items are awesome and are what we're looking for in our eBay venture.  Auctions that our community might be jaded to, can generate big bucks by those in other locales.
 
If anyone in our parent body can contribute items or experiences, or knows someone who can, here's what we're looking for:
 
· Band "meet and greets"
· Set visits
· Premier or taping passes
· Lunch with a celebrity or other 'industry' professional
 
High-end entertainment memorabilia such as:
 
· Signed musical instruments
· Wardrobe items, and props that were used in a music video,
  live performance, film, TV show, or well known sporting event
· Storyboards, signed scripts, signed cast photos
· PLUS rare SWAG, like crew gifts, director's chair backs, etc.
 

 

These items can be from any entertainment genre such as music, sports, animation, television/film and fashion.
 
Think about all the contacts you may have with producers, agents, managers, musicians, designers, publicists, etc. Please let your individual comfort levels and company policies serve as a guide to who you approach. We will happily provide request letters if need be. In addition, our official eBay contact, Modi at the Giving Engine, will do any clearances and coordination necessary to insure that all experiential events go off without a hitch.
 
We will collect all eBay donations in October so we can post them in early November to be broadcast to millions of holiday shoppers.
